It was now time for mass production. Having consulted various packaging manufactures, we finally found a great company in Norway that understood our vision and it was now time for mass production.

Once a sustainable and scalable solution was established, the students presented the final concept to the team at Burgersson and the rest of the students at the Industrial Engineering Program, for feedback.

After weeks of extensive research and multiple surveys we found that take away consumers prioritized the following:

·      Environmentally friendly 

·      Integrity of the food

·      Restaurant look and feel

·      Easy to handle and carry

·      Food could be consumed straight out of the box

Having taken this (your) feedback on-board, the students presented some impressive concepts.

As most of you know, we have not been promoting take away @burgersson. However, that’s about to change! Together with Chalmers University, we have developed a brand new take away solution that we believe “meets the criteria” … and we´ll get to the criteria later.

The Take-Away Project started when we got in touch with Örjan Söderberg, at Chalmers University of Technology. When we described our goals and the challenges we saw with existing take away solutions, he lit up and said that this would be the perfect project for his students. We were assigned four talented and dedicated students from Chalmers Industrial Design Engineering who were eager to get this project underway.

After an introduction to Burgersson and a comprehensive brief the students got to work.
